Conditions
This contract is made solely between Abbey Tours Limited and
the Tour Operator for the purposes of transaction reservations through
the Abbey Tours Limited online reservations system and is subject to
the following
conditions:
- The contract is commenced by means of initial registration on
the www.abbeytoursireland.com
web-site using a Tour Operator identification code (UserName) and
password both chosen by Abbey Tours Limited following the signed
acceptance of these contractual
conditions.
- It is the responsibility of the Tour Operator when making a
booking to ensure that the correct service (s) are booked.
- Access to www.abbeytoursireland.com
is for the purposes of making legitimate
bookings.
- Abbey Tours Limited has taken great care to ensure that all
information, both written and in image format, given on this site is
accurate. Should there be any inaccurate information, we will advise
the Tour Operator as soon as we become aware of the inaccuracy; however
we will not accept any responsibility for any losses cause by the
inaccuracy.
- The Tour Operator will accept financial responsibility for
all reservations made under your user name and
password.

Prices
- All prices are quoted in EURO and any currency fluctuations
must be borne by the Tour
Operator.
- All prices are confidential and must not be used or disclosed
for any purpose other than making a reservation on behalf of your
client.
- In order to ensure a continued flow of inventory, prices are
subject to change without notice – this especially applies during peak
periods.
- All prices shown are deemed to be correct at the time of
booking and an invoice will be raised for this
amount.
- All prices are quoted net and inclusive of all local taxes
valid at the time of booking and in the case of hotel accommodation
full Irish breakfast unless otherwise stated.
- We reserve the right to amend all rates quoted in the event
of any changes in Government taxes. Any such changes will affect all
new bookings following the date of such
change.

Bookable
Product
Hotels, Car Hire, Fly & Drive Programmes, Activity
Breaks and Coach Tours can all be booked independently of each other.
Transfers and Sightseeing/Evening Entertainment can only be booked if
any of the other products mentioned above are
booked.

Trade Fairs/Special
Events
- During some Trade Fairs/Special Events & Sporting
Events prices may be very close or at rack
rate
- Should you make a booking for dates coinciding with any of
these events, the higher rates will apply. We recommend that you advise
your clients that the price paid may be higher than that displayed in
the hotel, so as to avoid possible
complaints.
- Some hotels stipulate that a minimum number of nights be
booked during these periods. Once accepting the booking you will be
liable for all the nights whereby no refund will be given. If
cancelling, full charges will apply.

Payments
- Depending upon your status bookings can be made on the basis
of one of the following: Credit Card, Floating Deposit or Credit
Account. Credit Accounts will only be opened following a period of
trading where a Company’s booking performance and payment record can be
established.
- All payments made by credit card will be subject to a 2%
charge (AMEX 2.5%). We do not accept
diners.
- Cheques and bank drafts will only be accepted in EURO an only
if they are drawn on a bank located in the Republic of
Ireland.
- All bank charges and costs of transmitting payment must be
borne by the
client.
- Failure to settle payments on time may result in the
termination of access to the www.abbeytoursireland.com
and the cancellation of any future
bookings.

Confirmations
It is the Tour Operator’s responsibility to check all details
of bookings made the www.abbeytoursireland.com.
The Abbey Tours system will automatically e-mail you a confirmation of
all services booked. We will not accept responsibility for any booking
errors.

Vouchers
If you are issuing your own vouchers, they must contain the
following:
- Full name and address of the service supplier (details as per
our booking
confirmation)
- Dates, descriptions & specific requirements of the
service
provided
- Abbey Tours booking reference number – i.e.
FIEM123456
- Name(s) and number of
passengers
- Abbey Tours emergency contact number (details on
request)
- A comment as follows "This reservation is booked and payable
via the Abbey Tours Online Reservations system. Please submit invoice
to Abbey Tours. In the case of an emergency or problem with any service
please contact Abbey
Tours".
- All passengers must be in procession of a valid voucher,
stating services are booked and payable by Abbey Tours. Passengers not
able to submit a valid voucher may be required to pay for the services
locally. Abbey Tours will not accept responsibility in these
instances.
- If we receive an invoice with your voucher and it is for more
nights or services than you booked, we will invoice you based on the
details in your
voucher.

Cancellations
- Where a passenger does not utilise their booking or a
cancellation request is received after the check in time, then a “No
Show” charge will be applied and charged at the same rate as late
cancellations. If a customer arrives on a date later than that booked
and the mistake is attributable to your office, an invoice for the
"no-show" will be issued together with an invoice for the new stay
(subject to availability and rate at that
time).
- Bookings are to be cancelled on the www.abbeytoursireland.com
Online Reservations System or directly to the Abbey Tours Individual
Department by e-mail to individualtravel@abbey.ie
or by fax to +353 1 648 6159. If sending a “manual” cancellation, it
must contain the Abbey Tours Booking Reference Number, original booking
details, client name and reference number if
any.
- Abbey Tours will confirm the cancellation in writing. If you
do not receive this notice within 24 hours (working days) please check
that we have received your cancellation request. Without our
cancellation confirmation you cannot consider the booking or part
thereof as cancelled. Charges may therefore
apply.
- If you cancel after the deadline period, a cancellation
charge of a minimum of one night’s accommodation (bed and breakfast)
for the number of rooms confirmed will apply up to a maximum of three
nights for the number of rooms confirmed. Note the special cancellation
terms for bookings occurring during Trade Fairs and Special
Events.
- Cancellations directly to the hotel or service provider
(either by the overseas tour operator or the client) full charges will
apply unless documentation from the hotel or service provider confirms
their willingness not to levy any cancellation
charge.
- If the client leaves the hotel before the envisaged date, an
invoice will be issued for the entire stay and if the hotel
subsequently confirms a reduction Abbey Tours will issue a credit note
for the sum to be reimbursed. In this case the client must ask for a
written notification from the hotel advising of the exact date of
departure and the hotel’s willingness to give a refund for the
cancelled element of their
stay.

Cancellation
Policies
- Cancellations are subject to the "Cancellation Policy" for
each hotel or service provider as listed.
- To avoid any cancellation charges, online or written
notification must be received before the cut-off time within Ireland
working
time.
- Abbey Tours official working hours
are:
May 01 to September 30 - Monday to Friday - 09:00am to
6:00pm
May 01 to September 30 - Saturday - 09:00am to
04:00pm
Rest of year - Monday to Friday - 09:00am to
05:30pm

Confidentiality
Under no circumstances may you disclose the prices, terms and
conditions published on our web-site except to the personnel in your
company. Failure to adhere to this policy could result in the
suspension your access to the Abbey Tours Online System and the
cancellation of any future
bookings.

Security
All logins and passwords remain the property of Abbey tours.
They are strictly confidential and should only be given to staff that
need access to www.abbeytoursireland.com
Online
System.
Abbey Tours reserve the right to periodically change logins
and passwords. It is the client’s responsibility to advise Abbey Tours
if they are concerned that their login and password has been abused or
are concerned that a former staff member may still be in procession of
the login code and password. Regardless of the circumstances bookings
made under a particular login code and password will be the
responsibility of the company who has been assigned that login and
password.

Force
Majeure
Abbey Tours will not accept any liability of pay compensation
where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented by
"force
majeure"
"Force Majeure" means any event, which Abbey Tours or our
supplier of the service(s) could not foresee or avoid. Such events may
include industrial disputes, extreme weather conditions, natural or man
made disaster, fire, technical problems to transport, riots, terrorist
activity, civil strife, war or threat of war and any other similar
event outside our
control.

Complaints
Abbey Tours is concerned that your client receives the
services they booked. Should this not be the case, we recommend that in
the first instance, complaints regarding the provision of a service
should be taken up locally with the supplier. If this does not resolve
the problem the client should call our 24 hour emergency
number.
In any event should the complaint not be resolved while the
clients are in Ireland, a written complaint must reach us in writing
within seven working days after the termination of the
holiday.
No complaints which relate to discounted prices or prices that
are part of a promotion being offered by the supplier on the arrival of
the client will be
entertained.

Jurisdiction
The laws of the Constitutional Monarchy of Scotland shall govern the
construction, validity and performance of this Agreement and both
parties agree to accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish
Courts.
